It all started in my backyard with a VHS camcorder and a mötley crew of junior high misfits. We wrote our own scripts, drew our own storyboards, acted, edited and did our own stunts. I can't say specifically what the stunts entailed, but we did borrow the family station wagon.

All of this sent me running for film school and after that I refused to live in my car on the 101 in LA. So I flew to New York to start my film career. I landed a job as a camera prep tech at Arri CSC. This is back when they were deep in Hell's Kitchen. I met the right folks and worked hard and I took the union exam. This lead me to work on 30 ROCK, Orange is the New Black, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and Wolf of Wall Street. Oh what a time to be alive!

After a decade in camera department I wanted to do more. I started moonlighting as a producer. The first film I made with a bunch of camera nerds opened at Sundance in 2013. Well, shucks that was so NEAT.

 

I was hooked on production. There were so many things to figure out. 

 

I joined forces with more brilliant humans and made movies that sold to Netflix and Amazon. I went to Viceland where I learned about making documentary and branded content. One day Gary Vaynerchuck called me to help him create his internal production company at Vaynermedia so I said, sure let's do that.

Now I've been a bunch of places where I help creatives explore. I help production teams streamline and I help finance with the challenges that come with production accounting. I am always looking for something new to mull over, or implement, or grow.
